Grub will be sharing free food at Free Bed-Stuy on Saturday June 23rd in Tompkins (Von King) Park.
Free Bed-Stuy is a day of community, arts, and education in commemoration of Juneteenth, the anniversary of the abolition of slavery.
Bed-Stuy has a rich history as the site of one of the first free black communities in New York. But nearly 150 years after Emancipation, marginalized people across the nation are still not free. This event is a space where we can discuss how to work together to continue the legacy of liberation and make Bed-Stuy a more empowered community today.
Saturday, June 23rd 12 – 5pm
